Cross Pointe Community Church Worship Blogsite: Today Is The Day

I have recently been listening to a great new worship tune called, "Today is the Day", by Lincoln Brewster. If you have yet to hear this song, I would highly recommend it. We have placed this CD back in our resource center for you to grab for $15, if you would like to purchase it. We will be singing this song in our July 5th service, and below are the words:

I have also added a question of the week that I have put up on the top right hand side of the site. I will try to have survey questions up for you to give me some feedback on certain topics. Please take some time out to answer that for me.

My prayer for this week:

"Father God, we acknowledge that You are within our hearts, help us to remember to set aside time for You Lord, that we may come to know you in a closer way. Father we love You, and may You find glory in our lives as we live them in accordance to Your will. In the name of Christ Jesus, Amen."

Mark, I think the vote you're having on worship music is very misleading. It implies that only loud, rocking praise music is upbeat and "moderate" praise music is not. The more conventional term of "blended" style of worship music is not used at all, which is very unfortunate. I think you're skewing the results of your survey by the type of terminology you're using. It's not surprising your getting more votes for "upbeat."

the bottom line... God is praised...whatever the music and that is very evident in our worship services...thank you!
